Mayor Adams Expected to Name Robert Tucker as New Fire Commissioner
Mr. Tucker will succeed Laura Kavanagh as leader of the Fire Department of New York City. A longtime supporter of the department, he has worked for 25 years in law enforcement and private security.
Mayor Eric Adams is expected to name Robert S. Tucker as the new commissioner of the New York Fire Department, making him the 35th person to lead the agency, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.
Mr. Adams is expected to make the announcement at a news conference on Monday.
