Several injured, including children, after car drives into crowd of people in Berlin

A car drove into a crowd in the German capital Berlin, injuring several people, the Bild daily newspaper reported on Thursday.

The paper said that children were among the group of people injured.

The incident happened shortly before 1 pm in the north-western district of Wedding.

Police said it is not immediately clear why the car drove into the group but an investigation is under way.
